As with all truly good ideas, Split Tree Cocktail Co. began with a cocktail party. We invited our friends and family to taste six different tonic syrups numbered 1 through 6. Did they know they were guinea pigs? Nobody remembers. But the clear winner was Tonic No. 3. So we put it into production and set to work developing more small batch, hand crafted cocktail mixes using whole fresh ingredients, no artificial preservatives, and nothing we can’t pronounce.

How long will the products last? Split Tree Cocktail Co products are shelf stable for 24 months. Once opened, they keep for 1-2 months in the refrigerator.
How do I use the syrups? Each bottle of Split Tree Cocktail Co. syrup has a delicious recipe on the label. For best results add the syrup last. Simply mix an ounce of syrup and an ounce of your favorite spirit with 3-4 ounces of soda water. Stir gently and enjoy!
Can I use Split Tree Cocktail Co. syrups to make non-alcoholic drinks? Of course! Mix any of our syrups with soda water or water for a refreshing drink.
How many drinks will a bottle of syrup make?Each bottle of Split Tree Cocktail Co. syrups will make between 8-16 drinks, depending on how much flavour you prefer in your drink!
RECIPES
Split Tree Ruby Margarita
- 1-2 oz blanco tequila
- 0.5 oz triple sec
- 1 oz. Split Tree Grapefruit Cordial
- 0.5 oz Split Tree Sour Mix
- 2 oz soda water
Add ice, tequila, triple sec, and soda water to a glass. Pour Split Tree Grapefruit Cordial and Split Tree Sour Mix over the top and gently stir. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Ruby Sipper
- 1-1.5oz of your favourite gin
- 0.5oz of Split Tree Tonic No.3
- 1oz of Split Tree Grapefruit Cordial
- 2-3oz of soda water
- dash of Fee Bros Mint Bitters
Add the ice, gin and soda to glass, then add Split Tree Tonic No.3 and Split Tree Grapefruit Cordial and gently stir. Garnish with a sprig of mint or use a dash of Fee Bros Mint Bitters.
Northern Negroni
- 0.75 oz Ungava Gin
- 0.75 oz Dillon's Gin
- 0.75 oz Sweet Vermouth
- 0.75 oz Campari or Aperol or nonalcoholic BIZ bitter
- 0.75 oz Split Tree Grapefruit Cordial
- 1-2 oz soda water
Mix gins, vermouth and Campari in a glass with ice. Gently stir. Top it off with soda water. Garnish with a long grapefruit peel, twisted over the drink to release oils.
Split Tree Radler
- 1 can of beer: IPA, Ale or Wheat Beer
- 1oz Split Tree Grapefruit Cordial
Add Split Tree Grapefruit Cordial to a glass of your favourite beer. Use a lighter style of beer, not stout or dark ales. Garnish with grapefruit peel or slice.
Split Tree Paloma
- 1.5 oz blanco tequila
- 3/4oz of Split Tree Grapefruit Cordial
- 3-4 oz of soda water
Add the ice, tequila and soda to glass, then add Split Tree Grapefruit Cordial and gently stir. Garnish with a lime wheel.
