Champagne Saber - Sometimes called a Sommelier Sword

The regular opening of a Champagne bottle comes with a small, but expected pop, whereas opening with a sabre gives panache and style to the act that the French call "le sabrage". The motion is simple, using the edge of the saber as it slides down the bottle's body seam to make contact with the top of the bottle to break it away, beheading the bottle at the neck. This piece is a "sabre à champagne" a saber made specifically for opening champagne bottles.

This solid, forged stainess steel sabre has a massive blade with the length and thickness of a short sword. The handle is molded to the hand and heavy enough to balance the thick, blunted safety blade.

THE ART OF SABRAGE: The VAGNBYS Champagne Saber makes sabrage easier than ever. Simply remove the foil capsule, wire and slide the edge of the sword along the bottle's seam towards the cork. You don't need much force to effortlessly release the cork and neck of the bottle! The blade is blunted (you do not use sharpness to open a bottle with sabrage) for safety and ease of use.
